July 29, 2022 – WILMINGTON, Delaware – Veteran comedic sensation Damon Williams is set to feature in the biggest comedy blockbuster of the summer, The LAFF Festival, announced by Bar None Entertainment LLC.
With his humble beginnings as a Subway sandwich shop owner from Chicago, Damon started his comedy career at All Jokes Aside Comedy Club and has since seen 25 years in the industry. Damon has appeared in many shows, such as BET’s Comic View dating back to 1994. He’s been featured on national-acclaimed stations such as BET LIVE, Comedy Central, TV ONE, and HBO.
From Chi-Town to DE, Damon Williams has been blazing the stage as a successful comedic asset. The Funny Man from Chicago has hosted several episodes of the legendary Showtime at the Apollo, following seasoned host and TV star Steve Harvey. Damon performed for over 300,000 fans as the opening act for the highly successful Kings of Comedy Tour in 1999, establishing him as one of the nation’s elite comics.
Damon is a fan favorite in the Cayman Islands and has made regular stops in Canada, including Vancouver, Montreal, and Edmonton. Damon has even appeared on The Real Deal Comedy Jam, which airs in the United Kingdom. One appearance on the Jenny Jones Show resulted in monthly comedy shows for the House of Blues. He was hired to write, perform, and produce over 50 episodes. His material is universal, with something for everyone. His fame has allowed him to collaborate with some of the industry’s biggest names. Some of these names are Aretha Franklin, Pattie Labelle, Chris Rock, James Brown, Jamie Foxx, Little Richard, and even President Barack Obama, for whom he hosted a campaign brunch.
