USA – 10 August, 2023 – U.S. Scholar, Dr. Jonathan Kenigson, is excited to announce the publication of “The Great Equations” series in the Canadian journal “Toronto Telegraph.” The series began in June 2023 and continues to attract widespread interest and public attention in the USA, Canada, and the UK.

The purpose of the series is to bring scholarly attention to the mathematical equations that have shaped human history. Importantly, each equation is discussed in mathematical detail instead of strictly biographical or historical detail. Extensive citations and references are provided for each article for interested readers and critics. This multipart series invites readers around the world to understand reality mathematically as mathematicians and physicists understand it – from a standpoint of proof, logic, deduction, and generalization. 

The series does not just stick to “pure” mathematics, however. For the first time in the recent history of Canadian news, readers are invited to expand their intellectual horizons into physics, climatology, statistics, computer science, and philosophy. 

The series is written in a robustly academic but readable format and is expected to continue through December of 2024. Questions are answered in historical context but also with detailed mathematical justifications suitable for scientists, students, and interested readers of the public. “The Great Equations” series in “Toronto Telegraph” begins with a study of the Heat Equation and Wave Equation. Future submissions will discuss mathematical physics and recent advancements in cosmology, physics, and logic. No prior background in mathematics is necessary, but additional background is helpful for a deeper understanding of the concepts. Access is available free of charge and without subscription to anyone with an internet connection.
