Bel Air, Ca – Dwight Howard hosted a live auction dinner gala for non-profit organization Afrikicks on Saturday, April 20th, 2022 at ritzy estate in Bel Air, Ca. This gala made it possible for the Afrikicks team to achieve its mission to personally deliver shoes, clothes, and sports gear directly into the hands of children who have never owned a pair of shoes.
Guests enjoyed a star studded-night, amazing African cuisine, signature cocktails, entertainment, and the hottest music out. A live and silent auction was held which included one-of-a-kind art pieces, signed NBA jerseys, and signed sneakers from All-Star players, an exclusive reveal.
“I want to send the blessings that I’ve been given to you guys in Africa,” said Howard. “…through donating shoes and the proceeds from this gala dinner.”
Dwight Howard’s Grand Champion Foundation and Afrikicks partnered together for this impactful cause.
“Shoes are a luxury that many families in African villages cannot afford,” said founder Oumarou Idrissa. “Your kind donations improve lives and prevent disease.”
