In 2024, General Science’s Thailand factory successfully provided support for the MG electric vehicle project in Thailand. The developed 195/55R16 87H LV-88 EV tires reached the A-level standard in both grip and noise reduction. In addition, the company also applied the wear-resistant and anti-fatigue properties of Eucommia ulmoides gum to new energy car tires. While maintaining good performance on both dry and wet roads, it significantly improved the tires’ wear resistance and service life, achieving a breakthrough innovation. For example, the wet grip of the 225/45R19 GA8 tire reached the A-level of the EU tire labeling regulations, and the rolling resistance was reduced by 5% compared with the previous ones, receiving a warm market response.
In terms of the application of new materials, General Science has formulated goals for the use of sustainable materials, strengthened the innovative research and development of environmentally friendly products and the application of new environmentally friendly materials. It has focused on formulating research plans for three major systems, namely recycled rubber, pyrolytic carbon black and vegetable oil, and is striving to achieve a 35% utilization rate of sustainable materials by 2025 and a 100% utilization rate of sustainable materials by 2050.
