Albany, New York – The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Cynthia Joan Carlyn, MD, infectious disease specialist, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in TheLeading Physicians of the World. She is a highly-trained and qualified infectious disease specialist with a vast expertise inall facets of her work. Dr. Carlyn has been practicing for more than 28 years and is currently serving as Chief Infectious Disease Specialist at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. She is also an Assistant Professor at Albany Medical College.

Dr. Carlyn gained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Eastern Virginia Medical School Medical College in 1988. Following on from this an internship and then residency were completed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, before a fellowship was completed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Carlyn is board certified in Infectious Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and she is an avid reader of the New England Journal of Medicine, and The Journal of Infectious Diseases. When not working, she enjoys swimming and traveling, and relaxes by gardening and reading.
