Former NYC Police Officer-Political Activist Announces Thought Provoking Visual-Art Therapeutic Approach To Lessen Violence In Community

Michelle Middleton created Breathe Peace End Violence 2 years ago, and the premise behind this initiative was the need for peace and visual stimulation, which is paramount these days. She studied the effects of wearing orange, and started appearing in pictures wearing orange.

More so, Michelle Middleton shared the concept with some folks, and it became a “thing” Orange imagery representing peace. Michelle Middleton, a former New York City Police Officer, Lobbyist, Mother and Artist, understands what the society needs at this time to curtail violence; it’s thought-provoking Visual Stimulation.

Breathe Peace End Violence will be placing orange fabric on top buildings as flags of peace and on light post along with other imagery throughout communities that are challenged by crime and violence. People need constant reminders to seek peace over violence. Breathe Peace End Violence promotes “Meditation Therapy.”

As a certified Mindfulness Teacher, she will act as a referral source to other Mindfulness teachers, Licensed Social Workers and psychologists, along with “like” organizations to promote peace in any possible way. It’s time for a “Positive” change in communities plagued with violence.

Over the next few weeks, the website, www.breathe-peace.com, will be filled with ways that one can seek meditation therapy and other resources to help better their lives. The organization will be seeking funds from Essex County administrators, the City of Newark, along with other philanthropic organizations to promote our cause further. Breathe Peace End Violence believes that peace is attainable.
