Kalen Banks, a 22 year old mobile game developer from Virginia has announced the launch of his first project on Kickstarter. It is an amazing game called ‘FreeRunner: Rooftop Escape’ and is the combination of all the popular arcade games anyone has ever loved while growing up. The game is all about moving forward without falling from the rooftops and is an amazing combination of excitement and endurance. After being showcased at PixelFest 2017, critics are now calling FreeRunner the best new indie mobile game of the year. The goal of this amazing project is to raise $67,000 by Wednesday, May 10th 2017 and everyone is welcome to back it on Kickstarter.
“It’s a portrait view endless runner that brings back memories of our favorite arcade games.” Said Kalen Banks while talking about the game. “We started this journey in March 2016 and are finally ready to show the world.” He added. There are 11 characters to unlock in the game with 13 characters in total. To unlock characters, users must either collect gems during the levels or purchase gems in the game store. Coins can also be purchased with gems and players can also use energy drinks to upgrade performance of their hero. Moreover, score is kept by meters run and whenever a player completes a new level, bonus coins are added.
All funds raised through this Kickstarter campaign will help the American developer grow and expand this game to the new levels. Kalen’s goal is to add 5 new cities (levels), 2 new power ups, and new characters to this project and also to start a major digital marketing campaign. In addition, new programmers, artists and developers are also needed on board to go big.
