Dr. Finkel is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and hepatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been recognized by his peers as a Top Doctor in Washingtonian and Checkbook magazines. Furthermore, he stays abreast on the latest developments in his field through his professional society memberships with the American Gastroenterological Association, the Digestive Health Physicians Association, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. In his spare time, he remains a devout Steelers fan and hopeful Redskins fan. He also enjoys watching his sons play in various travel sports and spending time with his wife and family. His own sports recreation includes basketball, skiing, and his version of golf. Dr. Finkel feels that his success is attributable to his ability to listen to his patients, not having any preconceived ideas prior to meeting with his patients, and also his compassion for them.
