From 2007 to 2015, global exports of chandeliers showed a robust growth trend, with the exception of a minor decline in 2009. Exports amounted to 16,852 million USD in 2015. There was an annual increase of +9.2% throughout the analyzed period.

According to IndexBox estimates, China continued to lead the way in global exports of chandeliers, claiming an even larger share towards the end of the period under review. In 2015, China’s exports of chandeliers totaled 8,673 million USD, which accounted for a 51% share in terms of global exports. Mexico, Germany, Italy, and USA were the other key global suppliers of chandeliers in 2015, with a 22% combined share of global exports.

China (+21.2% per year) and Mexico (+8.1% per year) were the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2015. China significantly strengthened its position the global chandelier export structure, growing its share from 22% in 2007 to 51% in 2015.

On the other hand, USA (26%, based on value terms), Germany (7%), France (5%), Canada (4%), and the UK (4%) were the leading destinations of chandeliers imports in 2015. Imports to the USA grew at a rapid pace of +6.5% per year from 2007 to 2015. None of the major importers contracted their imports of chandeliers over the period under review. The shares of all major importers remained relatively stable from 2007 to 2015.
