November 16, 2023 – In the scenic expanse of Igok-ri, Sari-myeon in Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, Bee Land has buzzed into the spotlight with its latest addition: a dynamic children’s playground. Officially opening on the 25th of November, 2023, this new space promises to be a vibrant hub for family fun and learning.
Goesan-gun’s Bee Land is not just a playground; it’s a comprehensive educational and recreational facility. First opened in June 2018, the site occupies the Hwagok branch of the former Bogwang Elementary School and covers an impressive building area of 1,520 m². Conceived as part of the ‘2015 Central 4-county Regional Linkage Cooperation Contest Project’, Bee Land’s inception aimed to develop an ecosystem balance and a high value-added beekeeping industry, centered on the vital role of honeybees.
On the ground floor, visitors can find a range of amenities, including a café, sales office, processing facility, and training center. The second floor enhances the experience further, boasting a book café, an engaging exhibition space, and a Virtual Reality (VR) experience center. These diverse offerings make Bee Land an ideal destination for family outings.
The latest addition to Bee Land is a specially designed children’s playground, catering to the curious and energetic nature of young visitors. This space is equipped with various play and experience facilities, such as a combination play table, zip line, swing, and seesaw. This blend of fun and educational elements provides a unique opportunity for children to learn about bees and their environment while enjoying playful activities.
Bee Land’s popularity has been steadily increasing, with visitor numbers growing each year. With the opening of this new playground, the facility is expected to attract around 10,000 visitors this year alone. This surge in interest underscores Bee Land’s appeal as a destination that combines education, nature, and recreation.
A representative from Goesan-gun commented on this exciting development, expressing their dedication to making Bee Land a landmark destination in Goesan. “We will strive to operate Bee Land to become a representative landmark of Goesan by creating a space that provides enjoyment to the entire family.”
The goal is to create a space that offers enjoyment and learning for the entire family, thereby enhancing the region’s appeal and contributing to its educational and recreational landscape.
The opening of the new children’s playground at Goesan Bee Land marks a significant step forward in providing a unique, family-friendly destination that combines play, learning, and appreciation for nature’s wonders. It stands as a testament to the region’s commitment to fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and the natural world.
