Haier Biomedical delivered 1,000 vaccine transport coolers to the Philippines to facilitate the cold chain transportation of COVID-19 vaccines in local regions.
On June 3, the Department of Health (DOH) of the Philippines reported its first two confirmed cases of Omicron’s sub-variants BA.5.
As shown by research reports, people infected with the first Omicron variant are reporting second infections with the newer versions of the variant — BA.2 or BA2.12.1 in the United States, or BA.4 and BA.5 in South Africa, and they may go on to have third or fourth infections. And some small fraction may have symptoms that persist for months or years to come.
“It seems likely to me that it’s sort of going to be a long-term pattern,” said Juliet Pulliam, an epidemiologist at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
Many experts believe that, as with the flu, there might be one big outbreak each year. If this would be the future of the COVID-19, the way to minimize its spread would be to vaccinate people before its arrival. As long as the vaccines work, most people who have received three or even just two doses will not become sick enough to need medical care, and the vaccines do seem to decrease the chance of reinfection.
However, if the temperature cannot be guaranteed during transportation and storage, some of the active ingredients in the vaccines may degrade and lose their effectiveness. Vaccination from such vaccines will have no effect against COVID-19 infection.
“At such a time when the Philippines are facing serious challenges, the vaccine cold chain is key to ensuring the effectiveness of vaccines,” said the Philippine Foreign Minister Lochin.
Logistics Cold Chain Transport Cooler
Haier Biomedical’s Sales Director explained: “Vaccines need to be distributed level by level throughout the Philippines after arrival. Haier Biomedical’s vaccine transportation cooler can meet the vaccine transfer requirements in the temperature range from -70℃ to 2-8, with superior temperature uniformity and thermal insulation performance. This product will contribute greatly to maintaining the temperature of the vaccines during transportation and delivery to the last mile of vaccination.”
Specifically, to better meet the needs of customers, Haier Biomedical has customized the packaging uniformly and add Haier Biomedical’s temperature data logger to the product to record the temperature in real-time and timely convey any temperature abnormality immediately.
30-Days Electronic Temperature Logger
“Every single time Haier Biomedical thinks Haier Biomedical are through this, every single time Haier Biomedical thinks Haier Biomedical have the upper hand, the virus pulls a trick on us,” said Danielle Andersen, a virus scientist from Australia.
COVID-19 is a major challenge facing humankind in this century, and vaccination is the best way to prevent and control it. Haier Biomedical’s vaccine transport coolers and data logger temperature recording pens will contribute “Haier Power” to the vaccine program of the Department of Health of the Philippines, safeguarding the Philippines’ vaccine transportation. Additionally, Haier Biomedical also delivers a complete cold chain solution ranging from storage to temperature monitoring and inoculation to safeguard the global vaccine safety.
