FAYETTEVILLE, GA – June 9, 2020 – Internationally acclaimed songwriter and serial entrepreneur, Heidi Stampley, has announced the launch of her debut book: The Arrogance of Ignorance: What Do You Know?
The book takes readers on a journey of discovery and resolve with the spiritual application necessary for a better tomorrow. Stampley discusses the topic with passion; highlighting power, wealth, beauty, youth, status and intelligence as sources that feed arrogance. She explores subjects such as profanity, greed, reality TV, promiscuity and social media as markers of arrogance and provides Christian perspectives to resolve these issues. She writes ‘arrogance is the ever-present partner to ignorance that gives rise to the decay of the human spirit. Practicing it ultimately results in creating an emotional wasteland.”
The truth is that no one likes arrogant people. But sadly, this is a trait that everyone is susceptible to – if even for a few moments. In a non-condemning way, Stampley encourages readers to engage in self-examination and advocates for humility, kindness and love and as the solutions to expel this character flaw that has caused so much brokenness in society.
Stampley explains what prompted her to write her debut book and give clarity and depth to her thoughts on such an important subject. “Our culture is in crisis. We are seeing a decaying and desecration of morality in society and it is happening at an alarming rate. People are broken and the cycle continues generation after generation. It’s time to stop the bleeding and make some real changes. Mothers, wives, fathers and friends can be a part of the solution, but it starts with a look in the mirror with the lights on. I hope this book brings light to truth and helps readers escape the darkness of arrogant ignorance.”
The Arrogance of Ignorance is endorsed by United Nations Ambassador at Large, Dr. Jason Renville and Former Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and New Orleans Hornets basketball player, Courtney Alexander.
Upon reading the book Alexander remarked “this is powerful. As a former athlete who blew money and opportunity, I wish I could’ve read this at 15.”
Dr. Renville proclaimed the book was ‘a must read and a much-needed book for most of us. The book should be incorporated in some schools’ curricula.”
Heidi’s husband, award-winning gospel recording artist, Micah Stampley states, “this book is an easy read, but extremely powerful. Heidi’s captivating debut book will challenge you, motivate you and shift you into new heights.”
