New Canadian music sensation Porsha isn’t one to rest easy with the tremendous success of her debut EP, ‘Don’t Worry’, released earlier this year. She is now riding high with a remix version of the second single from the album, titled ‘Don’t Worry Remix’, planned for release on September 15. The track also features the smooth vocals of JRDN (Juno Award Winning Artist – R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. Gold Certified), and remixed by DJ duo Young Wolf Hatchlings (Fall Out Boy “Uma Thurman” Instrumental. Multi-Platinum. MMVA nominated. ASCAP Pop Award winners).
After a surge in popularity of her first single “Killin It”, Porsha is switching it up with an electronic reggae infused pop remix that will give listeners a cheerful island vibe. The lyrics tell us about those moments where we succumb to pressures and end up doing what we had sworn never to. The singer takes on an apologetic tone, singing, “Please don’t ever tell me you’re sorry, I’m not mad at you, just the things you do. Don’t worry about it.” ‘Don’t Worry’ was conceived originally for those struggling with substance abuse and carried the love and caring attitude of the singer.
Porsha’s debut album “Don’t Worry EP” hit popular charts with its uplifting melodies that imparted a renewed motivation to chase one’s dreams. The new single was co-written by Porsha, F51 Music duo Demetri James & Jaicko Lawrence (Benny Benassi, Akon, Flo-Rida) & producer Milos Angelov (Klingande, Tyler Shaw, Dan Talevski), has touched some raw emotions with verses woven around people one gets to meet, love, struggle with and grow alongside.

Born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, into a musical family, Porsha’s house was the hub of music making. She grew up and moved to Toronto to pursue her musical career, opening a major show for youth at the Yonge and Dundas square. She co-wrote her first feature release, ‘Star 2013’ for Ultra Music, the world’s leading independent electronic music label.
