How a Christian Clothing Site Helped To Achieve New Personal Growth

And Become Inspired To Break Free From Anxiety in a Global Crisis

What’s the most common misconception we experience in life?

For many people, it’s regarding religion and mental illness. Religion because most of us are blind to the fundamentals that help us positively contribute to society and others. And mental health because, well, it will always have a dark cloud of stigma lingering over its existence.

But both the concepts of religion and mental health awareness have overwhelming benefits if we learn to understand them and the thread that ties them together.

But what does the current global crisis have to do with any of this?

We’re Living in Uncertain Times

And with the spread of a new virus pandemic tearing across the planet, I’ve found myself increasingly anxious about the future. Health-wise, economically and the world we’re leaving behind for our children.

I’ve always been a seeker of personal growth, and consider myself to be someone that looks to the future with high hopes. But having hit a wall these past few months, and feeling overwhelmed with crushing, negative emotions, I came across a simple website that sat me down and made me rethink my place in the world.

Blessed 145 is no more special or significant than any other Christian clothing store on the world wide web. But perhaps, it came into my life just when I needed a positive message.

Or was it divine intervention?

I’ve never been overly religious or spiritual. But I am always open to learning life lessons to grow and evolve, regardless of the medium. Here are 6 ways Blessed 145 helped me to remember my worth.

But more importantly, that everything is going to be alright.

Women Are Wonderful

Blesses 145 is founded on the scripture from Luke 1:45 which states: “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her”.

And while this is a statement that gives hope to any woman who reads it, their website really does provide a sense of unity for all women to indulge in. Which brings us nicely on to the next thought pearl.

We’re Stronger United

In a time like this, it seems like the world is becoming more and more divided by the day. Inner xenophobia is rampant. It’s easy to fear other cultures of spreading disease, and even easier to discriminate for our own self-preservation, pushing others away.

But suddenly I’m reminded that religious practices have benefits regardless of age, gender, nationality, and socioeconomic status. And this lesson is about “unity”.

Without unity, we couldn’t survive as a species. It’s the thread that binds us as individuals.

The human body is a united mesh of cells and genomes. Society is a cultural united mosaic of individuals working together to create community.

Unity is, at its very essence, is what it means to be human.

And suddenly I’m reminded that we’re stronger as part of a collective. And therefore, life becomes infinitely more beautiful.

Power of Prayer

When you’re running circles in your own mind, with the weight of the world pressing down on you, internalizing it and bottling it up can easily allow you to spiral into anxiety and depression.

Talking to someone is extremely powerful. It’s exactly why behavioral therapy is a multi-million dollar industry in The States alone. But when you don’t quite have the courage or perhaps resources, there is always prayer.

And it doesn’t matter if you believe Jesus is listening or not. Just speaking your fears out loud can do wonders for your mental health. And help you come to terms with your inner demons.

Significant Insignificance

“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”

When I stumbled upon Blessed 145, I was taken aback by how much positive messages were being spread. On shirts, jewelry and with their work in local communities. It seems that Jesus really has sewn many seeds that are bearing fruit to this day.

And it made me think about time. In the scheme of the history of the universe, mankind, and the sheer size of the population, we’re nothing but a speck of interstellar dust floating through time and space.

But there’s comfort in that insignificance. Feeling small brings a strange relief that curbs anxiety and restores humility.

Yes at the same time, the moment you are experiencing right now will never be repeated. And the seeds you plant today can create a better future for you and upcoming generations.

The More You Give…

the more you shall receive.

Blessed 145 have being doing a shedload of amazing work in local communities by helping women understand and cherish their self-worth. And a large percentage of their profits go to charities, churches, and women to bring them closer to harnessing their true strength and finding their place in the world.

Inspired by this troop of fierce and brave women, I’ve decided to consciously be more generous. I’ve always noticed in times of generosity, I receive more.

But is giving truly an act of kindness if you know you’ll receive something back?

It’s always better to give. And doing so brings more resources into your life to keep giving. More love, more affection, more wisdom, more opportunities, more positive energy.

You’re More Than You Know

These are just my takeaways from Blessed 145 that I wanted to share with anyone who needs a boost in difficult times. Being introspective, I let my thoughts run free and try to dissect pearls of goodness whenever I can to help me grow.

But if I could leave you with a final message that I deducted from Blessed 145 and Luke 1:45 itself, it’s this:

You are a strong and loving human being. And as such, you have to believe you can do powerful and incredible things.

Thanks, Blessed 145 for the much-needed insight. And thank you for reading. Now stand up and show the world what you’re made of. And never forget, with a united front, we can achieve anything.
