Improving the Lives of Incontinent Elderly – Do’s and Don’ts

In recent years, the Chinese government has issued several policies regarding elderly care services, such as “Opinions on Developing Silver Economy and Enhancing the Well-being of the Elderly.” These policies emphasize improving the quality of life for the elderly and ensuring their basic health needs are met, aiming to build a comprehensive and efficient elderly care service system.

Focusing on the pain points of incontinence care, Pak-Adult listened to the stories of 28 incontinent families across 11 cities, covering a distance of 10,672 kilometers. This documentary project, initiated by the well-known adult care brand Pak-Adult, aims to raise public awareness about incontinence care.

This Chong Yang Festival, not only a day to respect and care for the elderly, is also an important occasion for society to discuss elderly care and improve the quality of life for seniors. Following Pak-Adult’s footsteps, we visit families troubled by incontinence issues, listen to their stories, and feel the neglected dignity and hope.

One such story comes from Suzhou, where Mr. Liu, once a sports enthusiast, found himself paralyzed suddenly. This invisible shackle deprived Mr. Liu of control over his body, making familiar daily activities unattainable, and even basic self-care a luxury. Thanks to Pak-Adult’s pull-up diapers, Mr. Liu was pleasantly surprised to find that these diapers not only made it easy for him to dress and undress independently, reducing his reliance on others, but also provided sufficient comfort and protection, allowing him to participate in rehabilitation exercises with confidence.
