San Diego, California – August 11, 2016 – From August 11th 13th, 8th Grade teams from around the country will meet in San Diego for three unforgettable days of basketball. 8th Grade basketball represents the end of an era and a rite of passage for youth basketball players. Seeing a void in providing players with an outlet to cap off this period, Brian Hershman and John Egidio of IndiHoops present the 2016 8th Grade World Championship.
IndiHoops will kick off the weekend’s event with a PreTournament banquet dinner on Thursday evening, August 11th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mission Valley to recognize top teams from Florida, Minnesota, Washington, California, and more. On Friday, tournament play will begin at O’Farrell Charter High School and Lincoln High School in Southeast San Diego.
Visit indiwc.com for a complete list of teams and other championship information.
As an added bonus, players, coaches, and parents will have the opportunity to hear from AAU and High School Basketball legend, Schea Cotton. The original MANCHILD will speak at the World Championship opening ceremonies dinner on Thursday evening. Limited seating is available to the public for purchase.
