Manufacturing journalist and founder of the Manufacturing Media Consortium, Thomas R. Cutler, met with editors, publishers, and economists in New York City yesterday, regarding automation and robotics in manufacturing in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Cutler reported the meeting was very well attended.
According to Cutler, “The level of innovation in the manufacturing sector has never been greater. Extraordinary products, services, driving by advancing technologies, from robotics to guided vehicles, are changing the way manufacturers operate. The increasing demand for automation and robotics in manufacturing is a global phenomenon. A new era of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma has arrived, and the content driven demand is extensive. Emphasizing automation and leading technologies drive the manufacturing cases studies reported in North America and around the world.”
Cutler shared the need for media content is stronger than ever. With national initiatives encouraging fair, safe, and best practices in the manufacturing and industry.
Cutler noted that while reshoring and near-shoring have gained popularity during COVID, there is exponential global growth of the industrial sector primarily due to digitization, technology, and a desire to open new market segments post-COVID.
Cutler added that hyper-vertical industrial applications along with a dramatic increase in ETO (engineer-to-order) customization is requisite for long-term growth. We anticipate more than 30 additional meetings between now and 2023 including Europe, Africa, South America, and throughout the United States and Canada. In the interim there will be remote meetings coordinating guidance for editors, reporters, freelancers, and economists worldwide.
Thomas R. Cutler is celebrating the 23-year anniversary of the Manufacturing Media Consortium, a group of 9000+ editors, journalists, freelancers, economists, addressing the industrial sector. Cutler and his team work to track the industrial sector trends which includes manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, robotics, technology, Industry 4.0, IIoT, and much more.
Cutler has launched three new areas of concentration: the power of Gen Z on the industrial sector; the dynamic impact of the African continent as a growing force in manufacturing; and Manufacturers Serving the Entertainment Industry to highlight and profile the leaders and innovators in the film, television, and theater communities
