Deborah Stachowic is a New York born artist and a construction industry veteran, who moved to Seattle in 1980 and has concurrently had an art studio in Seattle for more than 30 years. She is also a member of Northwest Watercolor Society and Women Painters of Washington and has been having art exhibitions at her studio. Deborah has recently decided to move to Italy and make an art studio in the art capital of the world. For this purpose, she has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, and she is welcoming generous community support and backing. 

“The first steps are to build the art studio, including multiple work stations, building storage and shelving areas, setting up and installing all of the essential venting, and wiring and hooking up all the electrical that is needed”, said Deborah Stachowic, while introducing this project to the Kickstarter community. “My intention is to create a soul enhancing, consciousness raising environment for people to achieve their goals and purpose in life”, she added. According to the artist, the studio will then be used to provide and encourage ongoing creative endeavors. Deborah will be putting this center in a trust, for women artists in Italy, after her demise, for it to continue on in perpetuity.

About This Project

Italy Arts Foundation Project is an emerging art and cultural center and B&B, in Guardea, Umbria, Italy.  It is founded by Deborah Stachowic, a US based artist, who is moving to Italy.
