Kenny Forehand has been hired as the new director at Camp Pillsbury for Summer 2021, as he looks to continue impacting the world and developing the next generation of responsible adults. Kenny has over 20 successful years of experience in the camping industry at the director level as well as international experience in the training and education.  

“I am very excited to be joining the staff at Camp Pillsbury this summer. Owner Vonda White has put a ton of resources into the facilities which will allow us to be one of the premier camps out there. This summer is shaping up nicely and I am ready for the challenge and growth that every summer brings at camp,” said Kenny Forehand.  

Most recently, Kenny has been the national training director for USA Rugby and spent much time with other United States Olympic/Paralympic sports focusing on the development of programs and how to reach different audiences. 

Kenny has built a reputation for specializing in helping others create learning environments that are fun and effective for children and adults.  Forehand’s ideas have been adopted by colleagues around the world in countries like New Zealand, Australia, England, Canada and Ireland.   

“We are going to bring a high level of focus to our programs at Pilllsbury that will give a top experience to any camper regardless of their skill level in that activity,” Forehand said. “I believe that everyone can be successful given the right support in a place like Camp Pillsbury.”

His background will help us to bring a great camp experience to the families at Camp Pillsbury.  With his strong expertise in camp management and his international level work with Olympic organizations. He is also preparing a robust training program for our counselors and other staff to provide the safest, most supportive environment for the campers,” said Vonda White, owner of Camp Pillsbury. 

Camp Pillsbury has become increasingly popular in recent times, providing a platform for children between the ages of 6 and 17 years to hone their skills through fun and outstanding summer camp programs. The camp boasts of a team of experienced professionals, with a wide range of activities that include music (instrumental, voice), magic, dance, equestrian, tech – digital media, movie making, theater, extreme sports, and circus arts. Other activities include pop and rock band, role playing games, fine arts, woodworking, leather, stained glass, water sports, gymnastics/cheer, fashion design, culinary arts, counselor in training, and photography.
