Tampa, Florida – June 11, 2021 – KF&B Law recently started its new round of open applications in their scholarship program. Called the KF&B Law Academic Scholarship, the program aims to ease the financial difficulties that many college students face when pursuing their degrees. A yearly winner will receive a $1,000 grant in the coming semester after selections are made.
Getting a college degree is one of the highest educational attainments anyone can have. However, this goal seems far-fetched for many who don’t have the financial means to pay for tuition and other college-related expenses. Only two-thirds of high school graduates opt to go to college, which is partly due to the financial strain that getting a degree may bring. For this reason, a lot of students miss the opportunity of acquiring specialized, higher-paying jobs which leads to less than ideal career outcomes.
Studies show that students who finish a college degree dramatically improve their chances of landing a good career. It is a common requirement for many specialized jobs in high-demand industries, such as healthcare, tech, and many others. Those who desire to be professionals in the field of law, education, and science often should start with finishing a baccalaureate degree as the path to their career.
KF&B Law believes in the power of education to change people’s lives. As pursuers of justice, they hold firm to the idea that financial struggles should not hinder someone from pursuing their goals. Thus, they created the KF&B Law Academic Scholarship to help make a change in college student’s lives.
The recent application opening is the third iteration of the scholarship program, which is open to all U.S. college students pursuing any degree. Additionally, the program also accepts applications from high school seniors who are accepted in a U.S. college or university by the year 2022.
To apply for the program, one must fit the eligibility criteria mentioned above. All applicants must also submit their college-related and contact details on the scholarship website, plus an essay with the following prompt: “Describe one way the hardships of the past year have made you look at your higher education goals differently.“
Submissions must be given on or before May 1, 2022. After the selection of entries, one winner will be chosen shortly, receiving the $1,000 grant on the coming semester once announcements are made.
The recent winner of the scholarship program is Danita Mapes, a student from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania. Danita will be receiving her award in the fall semester of 2021.
