NEW YORK – December 4, 2017 – New ABC drama, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, will soon star Vivian Yoon Lee, the first Korean American actress on the series.
You can catch Lee in the speaking role on episode 9, Tuesday, December 12, 10/9c on ABC.
Kevin (Probably) Saves the World follows the storyline of Kevin Finn, played by Jason Ritter, who has been tasked by God with a mission to save the world. ABC announced in November, that it has ordered three more episodes of the show.
“It was an honor to be a part of such a diverse, talented and professional cast. I have been able to connect with the show because each episode reminds us there’s always hope,” Lee said.
Lee’s most recent TV role was in HBO’s, VEEP. Her film credits include roles in box office hits like, Furious 7, and Jason Bourne.
Lee was also seen in House of Cards on Netflix, NBC’s Constantine, and SAG feature films, After the Outbreak and Secrets. She has also appeared in Wardolphin’s music video, Optimum High.
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Lee engaged in the performing arts at an early age, by learning to play the piano. She emigrated to the United States at 19 to complete her higher education. After earning a degree at George Mason University in Virginia, Lee completed a Master’s in Media and Politics from Georgetown University. As a graduate student, she worked at top news media outlets like the ABC-affiliate in Washington and USA TODAY.
Lee is a former athlete, and swam competitively in South Korea. She is also a former Miss Korea Washington, D.C.
Lee is fluent in English and Korean. Her next projects include, The Lonesome Trail and The Substitutes.
