La Vieque Décor has announced the launch of their new Etsy shop on 12th November 2016. The shop offers a variety of handcrafted home décor items which are truly unique and hold aesthetic value. The inspiration to create the handmade décor is taken from everyday objects and things. The shop, started by a group of people who love to travel brings the talent artisans from different parts of the world and makes it available for everyone to see and own. The idea was to bring out the gorgeousness of the exotic, vintage looking paintings into a more portable and functional shape which inspired the owners to create something like serving trays, boxes, and vases using the art. The shop features a collection of handmade Lacquer Art, which is an ancient craftsmanship from Vietnam. To make the products, the owners work directly with the Vietnamese artisans who work using the lacquer paint that comes from non-toxic sources and completely safe for food items.
Apart from the Vietnamese traditional art, these handmade pieces also combine the European art method called the “Decoupage”, that involves passing cut outs of paper or other material and covering it with layers of varnish or lacquer. To accomplish the true essence of this art, the owners have collaborated with artists from the UK, japan, and eastern Europe. This art is effective in creative contemporary decorative home accessories. So the final products from the shop LaVieque combine the heritage Vietnamese art and the European Decoupage which enhances their aesthetic value to a great level.
For the start, the shop has launched more than 15 different items in the categories of the placemat, wine bottle holder, decorative tray, photo album, decorative box and others. Each of these pieces is a piece of art developed by the hands of expert artisans and now available at a 25% discount using the code “BLACKFRIDAY” till 30th of November. The shop supports the art of local artisans as well as ecological products.
