“We understand that for many families in Idaho, the lack of local residential treatment options has been both a financial and emotional burden. We’re investing in a local solution that keeps families together and provides our youth with the healing and resilience they need to become thriving members of our community.” – Sam Johnson, Scentsy Chief of Staff

Idaho Youth Ranch and Scentsy are thrilled to announce the 10th Annual Scentsy Rock-A-Thon, taking place on Friday, September 8, 2023, starting at 8 a.m. The event will be hosted at Scentsy Commons on Meridian’s Eagle Road, and is aimed at raising funds and awareness for Idaho Youth Ranch’s newly-opened Residential Center for Healing & Resilience.

This unique fundraising event features 70 rocking chairs, each rocking for 12 consecutive hours to raise money for the newly-opened Idaho Youth Ranch Residential Center for Healing & Resilience. Scentsy pledges to donate $250 per rocking chair, per hour, adding up to a potential total of $210,000 as long as those chairs keep rocking.

How to Get Involved

  • Rock: Secure your slot to participate in the rocking event. Sign up online to keep the chairs in motion. There’s no cost to rock!
  • Rally: A food truck rally will be part of the festivities, featuring a selection of Treasure Valley’s best eateries. All participating food trucks will donate a portion of their proceeds to the cause.
  • Donate: The community is also challenged to help raise an additional $40,000 through various donation channels:
  • Event Attire: Wear teal-colored clothing or your best western wear to rally for the youth of Idaho

Supporting Idaho Youth Ranch in launching their new Residential Center for Healing & Resilience aligns perfectly with Scentsy’s values, said Sam Johnson, Scentsy Chief of Staff.  “We understand that for many families in Idaho, the lack of local residential treatment options has been both a financial and emotional burden. We’re investing in a local solution that keeps families together and provides our youth with the healing and resilience they need to become thriving members of our community.”

Idaho Youth Ranch CEO Scott Curtis shared, “We are profoundly grateful for Scentsy’s generous support. Rock-A-Thon is not just an event; it’s a statement. It says that as a community, we can come together to solve big challenges, like the lack of accessible residential treatment options for our young people.”  Curtis continued, “With Scentsy’s help, we’re breaking down barriers and bringing essential services home, where they belong. Their involvement amplifies the impact we can make, enhancing our ability to provide safe, therapeutic spaces for healing and the development of resilience in our youth.”

Cap off a day filled with community spirit, rockin’ and rallying with a spectacular fireworks display at 9 p.m. While parking for the event is free, additional donations to reach our fundraising goals are highly encouraged.
