Local Business Owner, once a Single Teenage Mother, Gives Back for the Holidays

Brittney Kline, Owner of Boss Lady Shoetique is hosting a Turkey giveaway for more than 50 single mothers

Minneapolis, MN – November 11, 2022 – Boss Lady Shoetique, LLC, will host a Turkey giveaway on Saturday, November 19th, 2022. The owner, Brittney Kline, believes offering a hand of hope to young single mothers, could be the difference maker in someone’s life. Ms. Kline, Boss Lady Shoetique’s CEO, comes from a background of being a teen mother as well as a single mother. This has created a passion and drive to help mother’s that are in need during the holiday season. The goal was to help 25-50 families. With the outpouring of support from the community, we can aid well over 50 single mothers.

Remembering feeling alone and unsupported, Brittney explains, “It was hard raising my children on my own. I promised myself that if I had an opportunity to go after my dreams, I would always look to aid young mothers.” Earlier this year, Brittney became the first Black, woman-owned shoe store, to open in a Suburban Minneapolis mall. 

Brittney has always had an enthusiasm for style and making women feel beautiful. With a long-term goal of styling the entire wardrobe, she started with the most important part to most women, the shoes. Boss Lady Shoetique opened its doors electronically in 2019. It wasn’t long before she knew her concept deserved a mall presence. She initially had her sights set on the Mall of America but decided to make an impact in the area she grew up in, Anoka County, MN.

“At Boss Lady Shoetique we believe in giving back to our community. We believe you need a supportive village to be successful in life. If we can help just a little and ease a small burden, that’s what we yearn to do.” Says Brittney
