Brad Roberts and his wife Sonya Roberts are starting a food delivery service named muhnchies.com (intended with an “h”) in Colorado Springs, Colorado – with plans to expand to Denver before 2023 – that specializes in made to order pizza, snacks, nostalgic sweets, beverages, and daily fresh cooked themed foods and sweets under one roof. Their focus is to keep people from driving impaired when they get the munchies, as their motto states, “Don’t Get High & Drive!” The food delivery company is not in any way trying to promote the use of substances, but they will be doing their best to bring attention to the rising rate of impaired driver accidents & deaths. Brad Roberts said “his father was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 6 so it’s a very important and personal issue that needs to be talked about more.”
Brad’s previous profession began when he was 18 years old, when he established his own business selling discounted automotive service subscriptions door to door. He was then fortunate to be engaged with a few .com startup endeavors after completing his education, where he was a successful Sales & Marketing executive that focused on branding and online digital marketing. He’s been interested in technology since he was seven years old, and he recalls booting up his grandfather’s computer with DOS 1.0 floppy disks just to play simple text games. He presently serves as the president of an online jewelry supply firm, where he is responsible for all digital assets and marketing. He came up with the idea of muhnchies.com one day when he himself had the munchies and knew he shouldn’t drive but couldn’t find any place that sold all the items he likes under one business and that delivers. Muhnchies.com aims to solve that problem.
Sonya’s previous work, prior to her jewelry supply business, was always in the service and customer support business. Her love of jewelry design and photography led her to co-found her current jewelry supply firm with Brad, where she oversees all product photography and order fulfillment operations. She will be co-owner and head of operations in their new Food Delivery venture.
Brad and his wife have been married for 15 years and have been together for nearly 20 years. They’re both from Dallas, Texas, and have lived in Colorado Springs for more than a decade.
Together they created a hugely successful online jewelry supply firm that distributes base jewelry hardware to jewelry designers all over the world shortly after they relocated to Colorado Springs, where they started it out of a spare bedroom in their house. The firm rapidly took off, rising at a significant rate year over year and quickly became a market leader in its field. They’re even a top 1% of Etsy shop which is not easy to become with so much competition. However, COVID struck, and their jewelry business has been crippled due to designers not being able attend events & shows.
Smoked mountain pizza, nostalgic candies, handmade themed candy, and baked goods, products, and old school snack cakes, among other things, are on the menu. All of the goods have been hand-picked by experienced 420 people with some employees who have been 420 enthusiasts dating back to the 1960s hippie era. What sets them apart from other meal delivery services is that they only bring baked or buzzed dishes to their customers that they personally recommend and it’s all under one roof. They are quite subtle in their deliveries (if desired), so curious neighbors will assume they are simply a regular food delivery person. Special events & catering will be available as well. The soft opening will take place on April 20, 2022 (4/20,) within limited zip codes and an official city-wide launch to follow soon after. Customers can order online, or they can download their custom app that has the functionality of any other food delivery app.
