Melissa Jackson Releases New Book, The Heart of Asha – A Collection of Short Poems on the Lessons of Love and Emotion

Melissa Jackson, author and narrator of the book The Heart of Asha, announces the release of her new book! The Heart of Asha is a collection of short poems written over the course of seven years about the lessons that educators, mentors, and loved ones had been trying to teach. “I was inspired by food, nature, and my relationships,” says Melissa.

Melissa understands Asha to be an Indian etymology for hope. Included are poems written to promote conversation(s) about the significance of identity and poems written to better understand love, a word that I use frequently and an emotion that I feel deeply. I thought that in asking the question, what is love’s intent, I would learn what love is. In this instance, love is given incrementally in the form of Power, Restoration, Patience, Liberation, and Expression.

Throughout the book, the readers will come across the poems written by Melissa Jackson that represents her dedication, love, and efforts behind the book. Born in Jackson, Alabama, Melissa grew up experiencing all of God’s gifts. She expects to help people understand how wonderful a person’s relationship with God can be. The truly loving and caring creator of the world.
