Mexico – Top 2018 wedding destination for Americans

Unless events are a career choice, a wedding is probably the most planned event future husbands and wives work on. Every couple wants to have the perfect day – for themselves and for their guests, as they go ahead and celebrate their love. When it comes to putting the plan together, there is a long list of things to be considered and a big part of that is the suppliers. Having the perfect venue, the right caterer, the best florist, the band or the DJ and the list can go on endlessly, are the aspects that can make a day magical or quite the opposite, turn it into a complete disaster.

The most recent report by the Real Weddings Survey surveyed 13,000 U.S. couples married between January 1 and December 31, 2017. What’s there to learn? To begin with, formal weddings are slowly being replace with non-traditional venues with outdoor ceremonies increasing to 52%. Other places which increased in popularity were beach houses, wineries, rooftops and parks. After spending, the most important thing for the newlyweds was deemed to be the look and vibe of their wedding (69%) and 64% said that personalization is the only way their wedding will truly reflect who they are as a couple.

Also high on their priority list was to create an amazing experience for their guests. Approximately 72% considered that it was very important to them that their guests have a memorable time during their big day. Probably all of these trends have influenced more or less the findings released by the Destination Wedding Planners (DWP) Congress in 2018. Out of all destinations, Mexico was found to be the go-to place to get married for couples from both North and South America, while Italy and Greece emergedas preferred locations for both European and Asian couples. With new trends emerging, it’s no wonder places that benefit from breath-taking beaches, palm trees and clear blue skies are the winners nowadays.

Regardless of where the wedding is going to take place, the photographeris one of the vendors that remains a top priority. And the reason behind that is quite simple and straightforward: just like a marriage means a lifetime of memories, a wedding is the day a couple makes the memories of a lifetime, and who wouldn’t want to look back at photos from the day and just for a couple of seconds relieve the joy, happiness and emotion of that?

Weddings overall can get quite expensive, even if the couple decides to keep it simple. Imagine that in the US, a national average of $2,630 is spent on wedding photography alone. If the reception happens in a place that’s not entirely familiar to the couple, the prices might spike even more. That is why proper research on the best options on the market is essential.
