Dr. Michael currently serves patients at WellSpan York Hospital and is also affiliated with WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital. He specializes in endocrinology, thyroid disease, and neuroendocrinology.
Dr. Michael was educated at the University of Connecticut and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine through the University of Connecticut Hospitals. He completed a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Boston University medical Center with a concentration on steroid and adrenal disorders, thyroid and neuroendocrine disease. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, as well as in diagnostic and interventional thyroid ultrasound. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, The American Thyroid Association, The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists; as well as state and local medical societies.
Dr. Michael has published and presented studies in the areas of thyroid cancer, various adrenal disease states, diabetes, and lipid disorders. Dr. Michael attributes his success to his professional mentors and being patient-centered in the care he provides. When not assisting patients, he enjoys scuba diving, electronics, communications, and flying.
