Navneet Goenka is no stranger to charity work. The Glitzkoin CEO has organized a number of charity projects in rural India and Malaysia. The pandemic slowed down this activity. The easing of the health crisis, has encouraged Navneet Goenka to commence charity related projects.
The ambitious project aims to provide around 50,000 healthy meals to needy Thais. Pandemic related restrictions that are currently active in Thailand, would increase the time frame for the project, but the CEO is determined to go ahead and achieve his target.
Thousands of Thais have lost their jobs and are often rendered homeless. Subsisting on just one small meal a day, these people need help. In Navneet Goenka’s words, “…Thailand is a wonderful country … while Glitzkoin has no immediate business interest there, I feel that it is the responsibility of all international businesses to help the nation. This program aims to bring around 50,000 healthy meals to needy Thais. While this will not end the crisis, we do hope that it will trigger a sense of responsibility among other international businesses.”
Navneet Goenka chose local contacts in Thailand to help with the execution of the program. As the CEO mentioned, “…I realized that it was unwise to wait for perfect conditions to prevail in Thailand … the people needed help and Glitzkoin has the will and capacity to organize such programs.”
Glitzkoin is keen to continue its charity related activities in 2022 and beyond. As Navneet Goenka explains, plans for future projects in Thailand, India and Malaysia are already being brainstormed.
