New book "Rise of the Liberal Colossus" by Carl Boggs is released, an illuminating examination of the multifaceted American power structure that poses an imminent threat to world peace

“Rise of the Liberal Colossus: From Corporate Globalization to the Great Reset” by Carl Boggs has been released worldwide. This 432-page work of sociopolitical criticism delves into the alarming consolidation of power among corporate interests, liberal idealogues, and the military-industrial complex that constitutes a neoliberal new world order. Meticulously tracing the social, political, and economic events stretching back to the Wilson presidency and beyond, Boggs provides a detailed historical analysis that fuels a frightening assessment of the future of democracy.

Citing the policies of liberal leadership, sweeping changes in corporate involvement in government, society-transforming technologies, and the ambitious plans of the World Economic Forum, among other world-shifting factors, the author uses a systematic, interdisciplinary approach to connect disparate dots into a clear picture of unfolding tyranny.

With a long history in academia and activism, numerous contributions to magazines and journals, and over two dozen books written, Dr. Boggs brings intellectual rigor and diverse perspectives to each page. The book critically explores all facets of American society, as well as the ways these ideals play out across the global stage, and exposes the impending Great Reset as the culmination of decades of corporate, state, and military consolidation.

Eye-opening and urgent, yet steeped in detailed history, “Rise of the Liberal Colossus” is both a warning for what’s to come and an informative review of how society reached this critical point. It’s an essential read for sociopolitical thinkers, and an educational source for anyone concerned with the state of modern civilization. This profound work pulls together the numerous forces changing the global landscape and illustrates, with no uncertainty, the international juggernaut on the horizon.

From the back cover:

To speak of a modern Liberal Colossus conjures nothing less than the largest power structure the world has ever known. A distinctly (but not entirely) American phenomenon, this sprawling network of economic interests, political forces, and cultural influences revolves around four organically interconnected sectors – a domestic corporate oligarchy, authoritarian state apparatus, military-industrial complex, and (now in process) a reconstituted liberal (or “neoliberal’) world order. Going back to the watershed presidency of Woodrow Wilson at the time of World War I, the overarching ideology that defines, legitimates, and sustains this Colossus has been one variant of liberalism, more precisely a combination of corporate and global liberalism. For the past century the main pillars of this power structure have been continuously reinforced by great scientific and technological innovations in the economy, government, and military as well as the international system. If ambitious planning within the World Economic Forum and other global institutions manages to achieve its unprecedented goals, that system will expand further – toward what has been described as the Great Reset. This would be a global tyranny based on increasingly concentrated (and integrated) economic and governmental power. Here, in The Rise of the Liberal Colossus, Carl Boggs systematically explores the history, politics, and ideology of this frightening development, the biggest threat in modern times to the future of democratic society.

“Carl Boggs provides a sweeping historical and political treatise on the origins of the imperial state and its grounding in the liberal paradigm. The trajectory of global destruction begins, as Professor Boggs recounts, with the era of World War I and its aftermath and escalates to the present day under the regime of a global corporate order that has brought the world to the precipice of ecological and military disaster.” – Professor Gerald Sussman, Global Studies, Portland State University
