New book "The Power of Wellbeing" by Clive Elliott is released, a powerful guide for healing a fractured society and reshaping the world with equality, trust, and empathy for the benefit of all

“The Power of Wellbeing: A blueprint for rebuilding the social fabric and reimagining an inclusive society” by Clive Elliott has been released worldwide. This practical roadmap of social change examines the numerous problems facing humanity today, from rising income inequality to political polarization, climate change, to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and unpacks the ways these issues are connected – as well as what can be done about them.

With a background as an attorney focused on social justice, Elliott addresses the state of social uncertainty with a well-informed plan for building a better world. Building on core principles that have shown success in the author’s native country of New Zealand, Elliott demonstrates the ways nations (and the entire world) can shift focus toward the wellbeing of every citizen, develop economic systems based on responsibility and sustainability, and close political rifts to create a more communicative, inclusive and cohesive society.

The Power of Wellbeing (ISBN: 0925776505) can be purchased through retailers worldwide, including barnesandnoble.com and Amazon. The paperback retails for $18.00, and the ebook retails for $6.97.

From the back cover:

A timely reminder of our shared humanity and the fragile social contract that binds us together.

The Power of Wellbeing is about reassessing our institutions, systems, and values, and re-purposing them in an uncertain post-pandemic world. It is about engineering positive change to achieve a better world “for the people,” where most of us can thrive and prosper, while both preserving and enhancing the core values of equality, trust, and empathy. Clive Elliott shows how a shift in perspective that blossomed in New Zealand, a small island nation, might be the catalyst for far more sweeping changes beyond its shores.

About the author:

Clive Elliott QC, lawyer and past president of the New Zealand Bar Association, moved to New Zealand from South Africa 40 years ago. He has a special interest in social justice issues. Clive endeavors to join the dots together, harnessing lessons learned from the tumult of apartheid South Africa, and the opportunities and challenges of his adopted country, New Zealand, all the while keeping and enquiring eye on events and attitudes on the wider world stage.
