New Jersey companies and individuals team up to send medical supplies worth over $180,000 to Ukraine

EDISON, NEW JERSEY – Pipeline medical, a New Jersey-based MedTech marketplace coordinated donations from Anya Keyser and MD Buying Group to ship critical medical supplies to Ukraine.

After seeing the coverage of the war between Russia and Ukraine, Anya Keyser, like many people felt helpless. Born and raised in Odesa, Ukraine, she came to the US in 1997. Her cousin and his family still reside there now.

She wanted to contribute to the well-being of the Ukrainian victims of war but had no one to turn to.

“When I started this project, I did this purely out of the draining sense of helplessness. I needed something to do to keep sane other than attending rallies and writing letters, and donating money.” Sending money to a foreign nation is tricky, especially during a time of war. So, Keyser, an event planner based in NYC, launched an appeal to her friends to help send much-needed medical supplies to the area. While raising funds would be easy, shipping the medical supplies and ensuring they reached those in need was what she needed help with most.

Pipeline Medical, a medical supply company based in New Jersey was ready to help. “They responded on Sunday night and I knew it was a good sign,” says Keyser. Pipeline Medical is a medical supplier that is well known for its logistical expertise; supplying medical offices with products since 2007. They’ve been shipping consistently to their nationwide client base throughout COVID-19 and even during the Houston power outage in 2021.

“Giving back is a part of our DNA. Medical supplies are always essential in helping those during times of crisis and uncertainty. When Anya approached us, we had already been exploring ways to assist Ukraine.” said Zachary Ducharme, CEO of Pipeline Medical.

During the coronavirus pandemic Pipeline Medical shipped out free N95 masks to nurses across America and is actively involved in providing COVID-19 testing solutions for schools across the United States. Pipeline’s operations team, led by James Clark, a US Marine Corps. veteran, quickly activated to make sure the essential products could be secured for the cause. Clark was able to provide valuable insight on what products would be best for a combat environment.

The donated items to those caught in the crossfire in Ukraine include field triage and wound care items (hemostatic and mechanical means to stop bleeding, burn care kits, bandages, gauze), needles and syringes to administer medication, sterilization and antimicrobial products, various splints and braces, assorted surgical supplies, and personal protective equipment.

Pipeline, in partnership with MD Buying Group, joined Ms. Keyser’s cause and was able to donate an additional $156,000 worth of critical medical supplies.

The medical supplies were shipped by Meest America and Velox International Shipping/Nova Poshta and will be distributed in Ukraine.

“What’s really special about this donation is that so many different people and organizations came together without hesitation. We’re really impressed and grateful to everyone involved with sending this medical relief to those in need,” said Ducharme.

Several anonymous donors, friends, family members, and organizations have all banded together in a time of crisis. A total of 170 individual donors contributed to the campaign.
