“Amansun the Dragon Prince: Book 1 – The Beginning” by Vincent Robinson has been released worldwide. This 664-page work of fantasy, which has achieved Amazon Bestseller status as #35 in the “Teen & Young Adult Nature & the Natural World Fiction” category and #47 in the “Teen & Young Adult Mythical Creatures” category, tells the tale of Amansun, a dragon living with his colony in the Smoky Black Mountains who struggles to feel like he belongs, often preferring the quietude of the Great Forest over spending time with his kin. When he does something that offends the elders of his colony, he is sent on a quest to make things right.
With a prophecy looming and the fate of his family hanging in the balance, Amansun must embark on an epic journey across the realm and face many challenges along the way. From elves and witches to trolls and wizards, Amansun’s treacherous path is beset with friends and foes alike. As he navigates the far reaches of the land, the dragon prince must put himself to the test in ways he never imagined.
With familiar elements of high fantasy, Robinson’s novel of swords and sorcery will transport readers into a dangerous, beautiful world, and remind them that life is – and should be – an adventure. Beneath the battles and fantastical beasts, the book also contains an important message of standing up for what’s right. Through Amansun’s adventure, the author shows that choices have inescapable consequences, and that doing the right thing is more important than living up to expectations.
Drawing inspiration from his life in Hawaii, classic fantasy like Lord of the Rings, and the deep troves of his own imagination, Vincent Robinson has created a unique world of magic and mystery with this first volume of his forthcoming series. Highly entertaining with an inspiring message for readers of all backgrounds, this wonderful novel sets the stage for a truly epic series to come!

From the back cover:
High up in the Smoky Black Mountains, Amansun and his family live among the great colony of dragons who call the steep and jagged mountain range home. Though Amansun is the eldest of his dragon clutch, he often feels like an outcast, and he spends most of his time venturing to the Great Forest up North, where he finds peace and solitude. His life is one dreary day after another—until one day when he sets into motion something that impacts the entire colony, putting him and his family at odds with the rest of the dragons.
The elders of the colony decide to send Amansun on a perilous quest to remedy his mistake, but there is little hope he will succeed. Along the way, he encounters elves, dwarves, stone trolls, and centaurs, all of whom choose to either help or hinder in his quest; he travels farther than he thought possible, across the Barren Plains, past the Old Great Forest, and to a mysterious and dark final destination; and he faces questions about his morals and his place in the world.
All mysteries will be answered along the way, and a prophecy of old may even prove to be true. Only time will tell.
About the author:
Vince Robinson grew up in a small sugar cane plantation village called Makaweli (Pakala to the locals) on the island of Kauai. When he wasn’t surfing or hiking in the great outdoors, he spent his time reading and re-reading The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and other fantasy classics. This love of fantasy stayed with him as he grew up, and it is what inspired him to write high fantasy novels like Amansun the Dragon Prince today. Vince has since moved to Arizona with his wife, Ji, and small dog, Tipsy, where they can be closer to all their children and grandchildren. He receives inspiration for his stories from going outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
