Questor is a yet to be launched app that will allow casual gamers to request a play session with their favorite pro gamers and streamers, and connect with them directly. It will be launched for iOS initially. The app, first introduced on Kickstarter is being developed by Yeibi Colon, an aspiring tech entrepreneur who loves video games. When asked what inspired him to create this app, he says, “As a gamer, I’m a huge fan of a lot of streamers/pro-gamers and I’ve always wondered how could I get the opportunity to play with any of them. Leave a comment on their live stream? Send a message to their DM’s? Shoot them an email? Unfortunately, it’s not that simple.”
Although it may be easy to find a pro gamer or streamers profile on Twitch and join thousands of other fans watching them play a game, it isn’t very easy to contact them or request to play with them. This is why Yeibi created Questor, an app that will allow any gamer to request a play session with their favorite streamers/pro-gamers. It is a patent-pending app that will not only allow casual gamers to play with pro gamers/streamers, but also give pro-gamers/streamers a chance to make a substantial amount of money, leveraging the follower base they have created.
Questor makes it easy for streamers/pro-gamers to have an organized schedule and to not get overwhelmed by all the followers who want to play with them. It’s an easy to use system where the streamers can create any number of gaming sessions throughout the week or month and their followers can request to play. The streamers can choose the time frame for the gaming session and set a price for the same. The Questors who cue up for a session will be chosen randomly by the streamer after which, they will receive a notification that they have been selected to play and confirm their payment for the session.
Both the Questors and streamers can customize their profile with a bio, gamer pic and more. It’s an exciting app for all gamers that will fill the gap between casual gamers and pro-gamers/streamers. Yeibi hopes to raise $50,000 via Kickstarter to support the development and further maintenance of the app. It will take between 4 to 6 months to finish the app.
It is to be noted that Questor’s Kickstarter project will only be funded if it reaches its goal of $50,000 in 30 days.
