British start-up business Ziegal is planning to revolutionise the digital infrastructure and internet connection for the population, offering super-fast Wi-Fi to users across the UK, even when they’re not in their home, and is looking for investors to join the company on their mission.
By installing custom-designed ‘Z Pods’ throughout the country, the company will utilise the signals from existing Internet Service Providers and combine their strength to transmit Wi-Fi services using a 5GHz signal. This will allow any user to travel throughout the UK whilst staying connected seamlessly to the signal to allow for fast uploads, downloads and a consistent connection to the internet without consuming any mobile device data usage. This kind of connection is unrivalled in the UK and has never been tried before.
Combining existing internet connectivity will allow Zeigal to transmit 5GHz Wi-Fi with nationwide coverage: improving the current average speed of 28.9mbps up to 450mbps!
Current statistics on internet usage and connectivity in the UK fall way below expected standards. 88% of households in the UK have an internet connection, but only 10.8m of these are classified as ‘super-fast’. The former number is growing all the time but the latter isn’t, due to a lack of appropriate infrastructure and availability. With device usage growing on top of this, it’s important for social and economic equality and benefits that everyone has access to fast internet.
All users will benefit from a free trial of the service and can then sign up to a desired usage plan with a 30-day contract on a rolling basis.
The custom Z Pods will be installed in approximately 1,000 locations throughout the country, with those offering out their property to host a pod receiving free super-fast Wi-Fi access with no restrictions: for life!
