Christin Gegenheimer, an architect and designer based in Stuttgart, Germany, has announced an exciting new crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for her latest jewelry product line. The collection, titled “HALSBETON,” contains a variety of necklaces produced using rough urban materials. Each concrete chain pendant has been transformed into a chic, stylish piece perfect for wearers of any age and fashion style.
Thanks to its ultra-durable materials, HALSBETON necklaces are long-lasting and will never break, allowing wearers to enjoy their items for years. Furthermore, concrete is one of the easiest 21st-century materials to recycle, making the collection both sustainable and beautiful.
The HALSBETON line is 100% handmade in Germany in the Black Forest. The collection’s creator, Christin Gegenheimer, handles all aspects of production. Gegenheimer was inspired to launch the collection after experimenting with concrete in an attempt to see what products she might produce using the material. She realized concrete was a perfect fit for fine, delicate items that might typically break when made using weaker materials, and HALSBETON was born soon after.
With a total goal of $3,408, funds gathered through the campaign will be used to help Gegenheimer produce buyers’ necklaces. Early backers can pledge €27 for a cube-style necklace or €32 for a bullet-style necklace, which is expected to be delivered during February 2021. The campaign will come to a close on February 3, 2021.
