Online Florist Brand Flowerbee Launches Flower Delivery in Hong Kong and Singapore
Offering flower customers better value, choice and convenience with flower bouquets and floral arrangements in HK and SG.

The international flower conglomerate Flowerbee is launching online florist websites in Hong Kong and Singapore, to offer flower shoppers in these two Asian cities better value seasonally fresh flowers, a wider range of flower bouquet choices, and a more convenient online shopping and flower delivery experience. The Hong Kong flower delivery e-commerce website will be on the URL www.flowerbee-hk.com, while the Singapore flower delivery platform will be on www.flowerbee-sg.com

Both the Flowerbee Hong Kong and Flowerbee Singapore websites will offer a range of flower bouquets, flower boxes and other flower arrangements, for all occasions from romantic flowers like anniversary bouquets, to congratulation flowers such as birthday bouquets.

In terms of supply chains, fresh cut flowers such as roses, peonies, orchids, ranunculus and tulips will be imported directly from flower growers in Holland, China as well as South America and Africa. The company plans to look at ways in which to reduce and offset its carbon footprint and also other elements of its corporate social responsibility and sustainability governance, in line with the increased expectations of customers that the brands they buy from are ethical and sustainable.

The company has secured an undisclosed amount of series B funding from venture capital funds to launch in these two markets.

Flowerbee CEO for Asia, Albert Ong, has said: “There is definitely a competitive online flower market in Hong Kong and Singapore. In Hong Kong there’s Flowerchimp.com.hk, MFlorist.hk, The-Floristry.com and Floristicsco.com, all of which are very strong in terms of flower e-commerce. Similarly, in Singapore, there’s Flowerchimp.sg, FarEastFlora.com, Floristique.sg and Petalandpoem.com, which are all market leading online florists. The sizes of these markets are only so big in terms of customers, so Flowerbee is definitely going head to head with direct competitors such as Flower Chimp.”

Explaining the Flowerbee brand’s fast expansion strategy in Asia, Ong adds: “Especially post covid pandemic, and with Hong Kongers and Singaporeans traveling out of their homes more, there is a decrease in demand for everyday flowers. Now our floral sector is driven a lot more by seasonality and special occasions, so Christmas flowers, Valentine’s Day flowers and of course Mother’s Day flowers, so we are currently working with fulfillment florist partners that allow us to scale up and down on a seasonal basis. We’re finding that many of the best florists creating the most skilful flower arrangements with the most elegant blooms in the flower industry around the world are now independents looking for more revenue.”

“Overall, with our expertise in flower e-commerce tech, flower supply chains and flower delivery logistics, we aim to change up the flower category in Hong Kong, Singapore and other Asia cities and countries – by handling our florist operations faster, better and cheaper, so our customers get the beautiful flowers they love, delivered at a price they love even more.”
