Oteko Group, the operator of Oteko Portservice, has conducted a series of career and guidance lessons for children of schools at Taman. School No.16 hosted the first series of classes, where professionals were invited to talk about the hazards associated with improper use of matches, as well as fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
The firefighters invited to conduct the lessons gave extensive training to children from classes 5 to 11, giving them the chance to examine real firefighting equipment. The children were given practical advice on how to extinguish fires and the way to effectively evacuate buildings in case of a fire emergency.
The children were also given a spectacular live demonstration of the operation of a fire truck. All the pupils were given the opportunity to test the driver’s seat and see how the equipment functions in action. The firefighters also demonstrated how they unfurl fire hoses and extinguish mock fires in a matter of seconds.
Such events are essential for giving children guidance on future career paths and educating them on the dangers posed by improper use of matches and other objects capable of producing or catching fire. Oteko Portservice intends to conduct a series of similar events in other schools across the Taman Region, especially in the Tamansky and Novotamansky settlements. Schools No.9, No.25, No.26, No.28 and No.32 are next in the list of recipients of the firefighters ready to host the lessons. Other lessons will soon be introduced as part of the series to include environmental safety and ecology.
Oteko Portservice routinely conducts educational events for the children of the Taman Region. As part of its corporate social responsibility approach, the company, founded by Michel Litvak net worth billionaire, cares for the employees of the Taman port and the surrounding communities.
