It has already been five days since Path of Exile made its debut on PS4 and to be honest, it rapidly drained away the anxiety and fretfulness from the PS4 community for months into pleasant amazement and general affection. However, like its console rival which has taken the game in for over one and a half years, PS4 also has a lot of unresolved issues with the gameplay and optimization to Path of Exile, which according to some anonymous tips, “starts to vex some users in so many ways”.
For starters, if you are applying a build with 3 or more skills in it, you might as well commit yourself to an asylum after playing the game on PS4. You soon will realize that casting some of your skills fluently and effectively on PS4 is pretty harder and more problematic than you conducted on PC or Xbox One. The default setup for the flask in the game on PS4 is topping the list of grievances because it is horribly to be performed. And auto targeting monsters in the game drives you from leap slamming out of danger, which by the way, happens on both Xbox One and PS4 consoles and still remains unresolved.
Although if you trigger L2 instead, auto targetting will be disabled albeit you’ll have to be locked in your current location for a short moment. It’s a bit annoying, but effective.
The next thing that is generally considered as “a pain in the ass” should be the highlighting issues when it comes to communicating or interacting with certain in-game objects as every PS4 player needs. It turns out if you are trying to talk to an NPC, buy POE Currency items from a Vendor or simply pick something up on the ground, you are not even able to pull it off by highlighting them first when there are at least 3 objects as total out there. You can make nothing of pressing the wrong object among the others, if possible, results in highlighting the exact right object you had in your mind. This kind of “mistake” occurs playing on PS4 because the odds are that you would mistakenly engage with a troll among other mythological creatures while were initially trying to tap and order a genie.
Keybinds settings of the game might be another major catastrophe for some players because they can’t get used to whatever the defaults the game provides and refuses to be altered. The same issues apply to auto targetting, inventory management and orbs presentation.
In the game, compared to constantly being laggy in movements and combats, multiple times of crashes would be on a par with it. Some imperative tasks like Buying POE Currency PS4 are not so twisted and confused to be implemented as you assumed it would be, but one should really not get hope up especially to a kick-off.
Path of Exile on PS4 still needs a handful of rework and improvements. There is a lot of content should be cut loose and some others needed to be added in the game. Whatever it performs now, it could only be better off in the future if we keep picking apart. Here is a full commentary video of Path of Exile Performance on PlayStation 4. I assume you may enjoy it.
