Picavi continues to drive market development in Europe and expands its sales team: Maciej Zakrzewski, an experienced IT and logistics expert, joins the Pick-by-Vision specialist from Herzogenrath, Germany. The new Senior Sales Manager supports the Picavi team in further establishing intelligent picking with smart glasses as a state-of-the-art solution for the supply chain.
Zakrzewski studied computer science and worked as a software developer in medical technology, aerospace, and logistics. In 2012, the sales engineer (VDI) moved to B2B sales at Vitronic. Here, the new Senior Sales Manager gained valuable insights into processes and challenges of the industry at numerous warehouse customers. Zakrzewski will bring his many years of experience in IT and logistics into the cooperation with Picavi’s customers. The goal is to enable companies to have a highly productive, flexible, and error-free logistics process.
Zakrzewski shared, “Picavi’s solution covers all the requirements of customers in logistics and beyond, and also offers a high level of user-friendliness with an intuitive user interface. Together with the Picavi team, I would like to contribute to establishing Picavi as a synonym for the optimization of intralogistics processes.”
Funke, Chief Sales Officer at Picavi noted, “Maciej Zakrzewski brings proven IT and logistics expertise in addition to his sales know-how and is therefore a perfect fit for Picavi. He will support our customers in bringing their warehouse processes to a new level.”
Current vs. Future State of Warehouse Picking
Whether warehouse or distribution center, the current state of picking remains problematic. These challenges grow more serious as picking migrates to e-retail fulfillment. The metrics and justification of Google Glasses, as a picking methodology, must include a constant, iterative, and continuous process improvement system. This requirement defines the future state of warehouse picking; only Picavi is ready to meet the future state today.
About Picavi USA
Picavi USA Pick-by-Vision solution makes it possible to visually manage the picking process for goods in intralogistics in a consistent manner. Picavi’s Cockpit uses artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital twin technology as a breakthrough innovation, maximizing productivity at warehouses and minimizing error rates. Only with this Smart Data technology are e-fulfillment solutions possible, transcending the initial value proposition of Google Glasses.
When wearing the smart glasses, warehouse workers have both hands free for primary tasks, including picking and packing goods. Augmented reality (AR) with context-based information makes work much more precise, predictable, and fun. Google Glasses have become an indispensable part of warehouse life.
