Carsten Funke, CEO at Picavi USA, the leader in pick-by-vision technology, was recently featured in Forbes. Funke discussed all “as a service” offers are not equal. Read the full article here.
According to Funke, the best practices for companies using a solution-as-as-service are varied and no single methodology is best. “In fact, until recently pick-by-vision was not offered as Vision-as-a-Service (VaaS). VaaS is the newest entrant in this paradigm for wearables in the logistics space. Our management team felt that would help make the technology more accessible.”
Not all “as a service” offers are equally beneficial. If the goal is cash flow, then most companies, whether robotics, software, or material handling equipment have leasing terms for companies to make payment options. Just adding “as a service” to a deliverable is not necessarily good or worthwhile.
Funke is a proud member of the Forbes Business Council, an invitation-only organization for successful business leaders and executives who are selected for the council based on the depth and diversity of experience in the business development space.
