After the rousing success of his last few books, such as “My Haunted Collection”, “Patty Doll” and “My Haunted Collection: The Dark Side”, the popular ghost fantasy ghostwriter Kevin Cain is backed with his new masterpiece titled “Dark Awakening: and Other Tales for a Midnight Hour.”
Currently available on Amazon and Kindle, this new book is an awesome collection of original short supernatural stories, including a novella about a home with a dark past, and a story about something in the sky going amyss. Described as thrilling and chilling by its readers, this new novel contains stories of a teenage girl stumbling across a dark secret harbored by her town to a Halloween prop turning into a real terror.
One of its readers writes, “The intent of the author seems fully to deliver a story that’s both subtle, literary thriller and dark, psychological horror. This is a tremendous debut novel by Kevin Cain, the kind of which John Carpenter would be impressed with. Each story is an edge-of-the-seat thriller stuff that can be easily compiled into a novel of its own. I am just halfway, and I am already so excited that I feel like another character from one of the stories.”
Cain began doing his own paranormal investigations in 2003, starting from Sloss Furnace in his hometown of Alabama. In 2013, his love for paranormal and writing interests finally combined as he released his first paranormal book, “The Legends of Indian Narrows,” which told the stories of the haunted house and neighborhood where he grew up. In the same year, he joined his first paranormal team S.C.A.R.E. of Alabama, led by co-founders Kim Johnston and Shane Busby, and hasn’t looked back since.
