From October 1st, all incoming and outgoing deliveries will be to and from the new address – 17 Watsford Road, Campbelltown. Paul van Oord is managing director for Pricewise Insulation. We asked a few questions about the move, and what implications it would have for the insulation company.
How long has Pricewise Insulation had a presence in Sydney?
It’s now over 4 years since we launched the Pricewise brand nationally, and coinciding with this we opened our first warehouse in Sydney. In the last 12 months our Sydney operation has been ‘bursting at the seams’ so we’re relieved that we’ve been able to secure a larger and more suitable facility only about 10 minutes’ drive from Minto.
What exactly does Pricewise Insulation do – are you just a glasswool insulation retailer?
We do a lot more than just glasswool, even though the glasswool products remain hugely popular with both our commercial and domestic customers, particularly Earthwool and Pink Batts. In addition to glasswool we sell a lot of polyester insulation, and we also supply a significant amount of commercial products for larger building projects, such as Foilboard and Kingspan. We also sell a number of tools and accessories which are useful for insulation installers.
Who is your typical customer?
A lot of customers are people building or renovating their own home, however we do also service a lot of small and medium builders and commercial insulation installers. Fortunately we’ve managed to maintain excellent relationships with practically all our customers, and there’s no doubt that this has contributed to our continued growth, also in Sydney.
Is storage space the only reason for your move?
We definitely needed more space, so a larger warehouse will help a lot on that front. Our new address also has plenty of customer parking, as well as more manoeuvring space for the larger delivery trucks. Overall, it’s going to be a lot easier for us to manage our logistics and service our customers from our new premises.
