Toronto, ON – August 7, 2020 – The latest album from up and coming Toronto-based recording artist K-Slick aka Young Warren Buffett, is all about adding to the rapper’s legacy. Three years in the making, the album, Level Up, includes soon-to-be hits such as Diamonds, and Goals, tracks which offer an in-depth look into the mind and thoughts of the artist expressed through powerful lyrics. Bank Account and Ice Cold display K-Slick’s well known ability to destroy the beats.
Level Up features fourteen tracks of hard-hitting lyrics and K-Slicks’ unique way of making this body of work fascinating from beginning to end. Level Up’s theme is conveyed throughout each track as the artist raps about leveling up his finances, investments, and mentality. He adds depth and an unfiltered look into his mind. What sets him apart from other emerging artists, in addition to the instrumentals that are perfectly produced, is the flow, vibe, and energy that the album as a body of work delivers. For K-Slick, this latest album is his Level Up – his magnum opus.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea of legacy lately,” explains K-Slick. “We’re all struggling to make today better than yesterday. I spend every day trying to grow my finances, to make my lyrics more powerful, to make my music be a clearer expression of my thoughts. To make our world more just. It’s all about building a legacy. You level up from your old self, you know what I mean? That’s the great thing about being an artist; It’s an automatic legacy. Even after I die this stuff, my music, will still be here. I want that music to be the best expression of me possible. I think Level Up is the best work I’ve ever produced.”
While K-Slick sports the traditional trappings of rap artists, his image, and the images featured in his music videos, are unique. Unlike some rappers who hide their origin, K-Slick embraces his hometown. A proud Raptors fan, the recording artist can often be found sporting the team’s logo along with other symbols of his hometown. Many of the locations used as backdrop in his song can be found in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Since dropping a sneak peek at Level Up, the video has gathered more than 11,000 views in three days. Previous tracks uploaded to YouTube have earned K-Slick more than 1.5 million views and a passionate fan following from around the world.
Fans got the chance to immerse themselves in the latest installment of K-Slick’s legacy on July 31, 2020. The album was written, recorded, mixed, mastered and co-produced by K-Slick’s own record label, K9 Multmedia.
