Continuing with his mission to reach his Malaria eradication Program to everyone, Mr. Sanneerappa met with Deputy mayor of Aizwal, the capital city of Mizoram, Mr. Lalrinliana to drill down the exact deployment of resources. Mr. Lalrinliana is serving the people of Aizwal in many roles. He is not only the Deputy Mayor of Aizwal, but he is also the Secretary of Rural Development Department of Aizawl, Mizoram. They met in connection with expanding outreach and operations of the NeoDocto foundation in North East states of India. Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa discussed the forest dependency of the residents of Mizoram and explained how NeoDocto can help via Malaria Eradication Program in spreading the awareness and providing digital healthcare options through his foundation NeoDocto.
In the last few years he noticed some decline in the death rate due to Malaria which has been observed in the state of Mizoram. However, it is still the most dreadful and major health problem to be addressed urgently to prevent many invaluable lives. Scanty Rainfalls, hot and humid weather makes Mizoram and North East states more prone to vector-borne diseases. Malaria remains one of the major contagious diseases in the state. 31 deaths were reported in 2015 and 69 deaths were seen over the past three years.
At the meeting between Mr. Madhukar and Mr. Lalrinliana, Mr. Madhukar explained about NeoDocto foundation and its initiative. The goal of the foundation is to reduce the number of mortality and morbidity due to malaria. Their main objective is to better health care, awareness and education thus resulting in fewer fever cases, better health care equipment, quick screening, and treatment.
