Somerset Couple launches Miniature Friends, a blog that provides comprehensive information about dogs

Miniature Friends is a premier online platform/blog that provides up-to-date information, creates awareness and educates upcoming owners of the realities of owning a dog and what they need to be prepared for and should know.

It is clear that the relationship between man and dog transcends generations, logic and reason. It bothers on the inexplicable, so much so that in 2020, there was a surge in the acquisition of dogs as Covid-19 forced mankind to stay at home. According to the Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association, a total of 3.2 million households in the UK acquired a pet since the start of the pandemic. That means the country now has 17 million pet-owning homes, the association says. The statistics show that young people are the main drivers of this trend, with more than half of new owners aged 16 to 34.

Many bought the pets in response to social isolation. However, not many foresaw the challenges of training one or living with one as life returned to normalcy. Hence, to many, the dog, bought for companionship, became a burden.

However, with the right information, and mindset, living with a dog can be one of the best things since sliced bread. Greek humanist, Theodorus Gaza once quipped “the gift which I am sending you is called a dog, and is, in fact, the most precious and valuable possession of mankind”. With the relationship between man and his furry friends statistically, emotionally and historically established, Miniature Friends seeks to ensure man is not lacking the necessary information needed in taking care of his best friend. The blog is on a mission to cover the most popular small dog questions and to be the go-to dog blog.

”Our straightforward approach to writing content cuts out the confusion with our expert-reviewed, person-first experiences that will help you make the right choice for your dog and improve their quality of life. Miniature Friends covers every area to help keep your dog healthy and to provide the essential nutrients and wellbeing needed for your dog to live a happy and fulfilling life”, said Paulina, co-founder of the blog.

Paulina founded Miniature Friends with her partner Brett. It is said that with longevity comes experience; with experience comes greater expertise. The couple’s expertise in dog care stems from years of living with pets. However, with all their in-depth knowledge on everything dog, the couple is keen to point out they are not veterinarians, hence, their content is not evaluated by a regulatory body or a professional, and is for entertainment and educational purposes only.

”We do not provide medical advice and no material used on our website is intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for your pet. Always seek the advice of a professional or qualified healthcare provider with any questions that you may have regarding any of the content provided by the website”, advised Paulina.
