That is what gave birth to Style Lend a dress rental service available in all states in the US. Recently, Lona talked about the journey that led her to develop, a company that offers pieces of clothing from some of the most desirable designers and brands sourced from the most stylish women’s closets in NY.
Lona said: “I started Style Lend because I got bored of clothes very quickly and even though I had a closet full of clothes I had nothing to wear. I would only wear items once and then either sell or donate them. But this made no sense since I spent thousands of dollars on clothes I was not that excited about after wearing once. I looked at all the resale online options and they either took too much of my time or I didn’t make enough money. On her website, that caters to all states in U.S , users will be able to browse through thousands of unique designer items from which they can select to rent for 7 days for prices that are much lower than what they would pay to purchase the same item. After the week is over the the item is returned by sending everything back in the prepaid box or mailing bag. In this way Lona believes the users of the website will have unlimited choices, a dream come true for many women!
“So being left with no solutions on how to live a more asset light lifestyle, be good to the planet but still enjoy fashion, I decided to start Style Lend and build the biggest designer closet where it was easy to borrow anything I wanted without having the cost and headache of owning it. Now that we are in NY my dream has come true, I only wear things from the Style Lend closet. Chanel, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Givenchy, Balmain, Self Portrait, and so many other cool established and up and coming designers. Not only is this a smarter way to consume fashion but it’s hassle free and I don’t have to worry about what to do with the item after I’m done wearing it.” – she added further.
