TAKODA Enjoys Boosted Visitors, Despite Nats’ Woes

Washington, District of Columbia – For the first time in franchise history, the Washington Nationals were able to host not just one, but three Worlds Series games this past weekend. While the Nats were not able to salvage a home win, it marked a major turning point for the Washington franchise (which originally began in Montreal) and many of the businesses located near Nationals Park.

One of the businesses that was able to benefit the most from hosting this important series was TAKODA, a restaurant and bar located within walking distance from the stadium. TAKODA has gained a reputation among locals for its commitment to craft beer, whiskey, and high-quality bar food. However, it has also become a staple among the DC sports crowd.

Though the weather in Washington was far from perfect, TAKODA’s rooftop bar was kept dry, warm, and busy. There were no official estimates for how many people visited the rooftop bar this weekend, but it was certainly more crowded than usual.

TAKODA hopes that the final games of the World Series will be just as busy, even though the Nationals are heading back to Houston, hoping they can still win their first ever World Series. The bar plans on offering special drink deals beginning long before the games and encourages fans to sport their favorite red, white, and blue Nationals gear.

Even though the Fall Classic will be over by the end of the week, many other DC area sports are just getting started. Both the NBA (Wizards) and the NHL (Capitals) recently started and both Washington teams are hoping to replicate the success of the Nationals. The Washington Redskins have had a less than stellar season thus far but are still inspiring plenty of people to visit TAKODA and similar establishments.
