THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC’S MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT JOINS THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER WITH MEDOLIFE, A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY

Up to 98% of apoptosis (programmed cancer cell death) was observed in trials conducted on Medolife’s anti-cancer drug based on polarized venom of the Rhopalurus princeps scorpion (commonly known as Blue scorpion). The President and CEO of Medolife, Dr. Arthur Grant Mikaelian, began his investigation with the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Environment in 2007. Successful and promising results encouraged the Minister of Environment, Francisco Domínguez Brito, to support Medolife Corporation’s advancement and development of new anti-cancer drugs by granting rights to construct a laboratory to expand the current scorpion population to meet the international demand of this life-saving drug.

Medolife Corporation is currently preparing a new US FDA drug application and plans to apply in 2018. The new drug is polarized using patented quantum physics-based technologies developed by Dr. Mikaelian. This formulation utilizes conjugated gold nanoparticles with peptides derived from the blue scorpion’s venom, where the polarization doubles the rate of cancer cell death.

As stated by oncologists, Dr. Ramon Feliz, MD., Ph.D., “this new drug not only has the capability to destroy cancer cells, but also increases the quality of life of cancer patients, which is extremely important to them and their families” So far, Dr. Feliz has not observed any concerning side-effects.

As stated in the signed agreement with the Ministry of Environment, Medolife Corporation will begin annual donations of its product to patients in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, the construction of a new laboratory at the scorpion reservation will create new jobs for the local populace which will focus on maintenance and expansion of the scorpion population. Medolife Corporation also plans to investigate the country’s natural resources to develop new drugs for a variety of medical fields.
