Salt Lake City, Utah – The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Jerry Sonkens, MD, MS, FACS, Otolaryngologist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly-trained and qualified otolaryngologist with a vast expertise inall facets of his work. Dr. Sonkens practiced for over forty years and is now retired after having served with ENT Specialists in Salt Lake City, Utah, since 1976.
Dr. Sonkens obtained his doctor degree of medicine and master degree of science in anatomy from George Washington University in 1972. He then trained at George Washington University Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital and received board certification in otolaryngology from the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Sonkens is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sonkens is working as a volunteer with homeless shelters. He is very passionate about his work and was recently able to provide hearing aids at a reduced rate to the local homeless population. He credits his success to receiving help and guidance from mentors, the support of his wife of 50 years and his faith in God. Dr. Sonkens dedicates his spare time to photography, teaching and mentoring medical students, and volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America.
